Part of trying to prevent people with prediabetes from getting Type 2 Diabetes is to encourage these people to make improvements to their lifestyle by increasing physical activity and improving their diet. It can be very difficult for people to start making these changes, and maintaining them is also a challenge. So that health service professionals can better support people in making these changes, we want to understand how people feel and what they know about diabetes over the course of a year from when they are told they are prediabetic. Having an understanding of these experiences from an individuals point of view may be beneficial to tailor future interventions for prediabetic people.
