Future Foods – Recruiting Soon

Future Foods – Recruiting Soon

We will soon be recruiting for our first Future Foods intervention study, located in WARU, Carwyn James.

We have been investigating a plant extract which has been suggested to be a more natural means of an anti-inflammatory against osteoarthritis and irritable bowel conditions, and could benefit human health. As our first pilot study we would like to see if natural chemicals contained in the food extract can be detected in both urine and blood samples after consumption.

We will soon be looking for participants who firstly, would be fully committed to providing urine and blood samples, secondly to consume three test breakfasts, and thirdly be willing to attend WARU 3 times over the course of 3 weeks.

As well as providing you with FREE food, you will have a Tanita body composition assessment. Being part of this novel research will allow us to gain important insight into the digestion and metabolism of a potentially beneficial plant extract that may help individuals in the future!

If this is something you may be interested in or would like further information regarding the study and the start date please get in touch with Future Foods team at WARU.
